The Genesis Free Youth Bus Pass Task Force has the vision that transit for youth should be free, universal, and accessible. Our vision is compromised by lack of state funded home-to-school transportation for public education students in California. As it is often the people who are affected the most who are absent from policy discussions, we strive to ensure that all voices are heard by decision makers.

 

As of 2019, the Free Youth Bus Pass program is in 21 Alameda County middle and high schools, in 7 school districts and affects 10,000 youth.
