Join Genesis in our campaign to persuade the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to spend a tiny portion of its multi-billion dollar budget on a free Youth Bus Pass for Bay Area students. Because California law does not require school districts to provide school buses for middle and high school students, our children are forced to buy expensive passes in order to get to school. When youth in low-income communities can't afford a bus pass, we all suffer.

Last year, Oakland lost $30 million in state funding due to absentees. Joining hands across the region, with strong support from many elected leaders, congregations, business and labor, we can force the MTC to get on board with our values and our kids.
